Go see this film!

I took Bela to see Soul Surfer over the weekend. We had a long talk about Bethany Hamilton and what we would and would not see during the film. I cried about a gallon of tears during this movie.

I think this film ( and more importantly, the story behind it) teaches us and our children to never give up. Bethany Hamilton displayed such bravery and Faith during her ordeal. And even when her positive attitude threatened to waiver, she took that opportunity to give of herself, which promptly gave her a view, of the bigger picture.

I highly recommend that you see this film, with your kids!

Movie disappointing

I took Bela to see Rango on Saturday. I should have done more research on the film. It was an ok film, but I was very disappointed in how many times the word, "H2#@" was used in a kids film. Just a heads up!

It's Game Night!

My parents got this game for us at Christmas. What a cute fun game. It is called LCR. Easy to learn, and fun to play.

Manufacturer says game is appropriate for ages 5 and up. I think with supervision, younger kids could totally play. Great for teaching Left and Right.

Enjoy!

Books Make Me Happy - a perfect gift for any young reader!

I bought this reading log for my daughter for her birthday. She loves it. She has logged in several books, including Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, and more!

This is the perfect book for any young reader on your Christmas shopping list.. especially if you do not know which books they have or do not have.
