Books Make Me Happy - a perfect gift for any young reader!

I bought this reading log for my daughter for her birthday. She loves it. She has logged in several books, including Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, and more!
This is the perfect book for any young reader on your Christmas shopping list.. especially if you do not know which books they have or do not have.

Hey good lookin'! Whatcha got cookin'?

It's no secret that the Dossantos family loves to eat. Well, did you know we also love to cook and bake? We have quite a recipe book collection, that we add to each year. We've picked up a few family friendly and kids cookbooks along the way. We definitely have our favorites. One of them is Rachael's Ray YUM-O cookbook. We highly recommend it! One of our fave recipes is Italian Chili Soup! You can buy the book locally at the Vero Beach Book Center. www.verobeachbookcenter.com

Tunes!

Does your child love music? Are you tired of the same ol' same ol'? Bela and I have been b-boppin to a great CD we picked up a few months ago called Juice Box Heroes - No Sugar Added. I love the backstory. It is two brothers that used to be in a cover band. Then they got married, had kids. They soon found out that late night gigs did not mix so well with midnight feedings, so they came up with a great new idea! Cover songs that parents would know, but modify lyrics to suit kids of all ages!
We love all the songs on the CD, but our favorite track probably is "Don't Worry, Take a Nappy." Great giggles for kids and parents alike. It also opens up a whole new way to share your fave music from the 80's and 90's with your children!
You can learn more about the CD by visiting this site: http://www.juiceboxheroes.com/. The Vero Beach Book Center Children's Store also carries it in store! Enjoy!

Wherever You Are

I love Nancy Tillman books! I had the pleasure of meeting Nancy not too long ago at a book signing during story hour at the Vero Beach Book Center. She is a dear, and her books with her illustrations are as heartfelt as they are beautiful!
Her latest book is something no parent should miss reading at least once. This book would be a perfect keepsake book to given at a baby shower, first birthday, or really even to an Adult child.
Here is a link to Nancy's website with more details on the new book! http://www.nancytillman.com/books/wherever/
